Batik Kits

Learn batik with our specialist kits.

We offer a choice of three different batik kits: a beginner's batik kit for learning batik on cotton, a batik scarf kit, and a paper batik kit.
Our kits provide the tools and supplies you need to learn how to do batik at home. To get started you will need an old saucepan or double burner to melt the batik wax, but when you're feeling ready we recommend investing in an electric frying pan or wax pot with a thermostat. Please note: Due to customs restrictions, we are unable to ship these batik kits outside of the UK.

What’s included in the batik kits?

You’ll find everything you need to start learning batik in our kits. In addition to your choice of fabric or scarf, you’ll receive: clear instructions, tips and hints, 300g of our batik wax mix, 3 pots of 10g procion dye in blue, red and yellow, 50g soda ash, a medium canting, a small wooden printing block, a handmade batik card for inspiration or to include if the kit is a gift.

Are your batik kits suitable for children?

Under the supervision of a responsible adult, making batik is a great project for kids, however please be mindful of the dangers of hot wax and chemical dyes. Our kits are not designed for children to use without supervision.
