Looking for batik fabric in the UK? We are an independent fabric shop selling hand-stamped batik fabric from Java, Bali and Northern Thailand, cut by the metre or available in our popular fat quarter sets. 

All of our fabric is shipped from Cornwall, with free UK delivery on orders over £40.

Which batik fabric is right for your sewing project?

Both our traditional blue and white batik and our colourful modern batik from Java are favourites for quilting and patchwork. They are crisp, high thread count cotton fabrics with minimal drape, meaning they are also ideal for shirts and blouses as well as other craft projects.

Our hill tribe batik from Thailand is narrower and heavier weight, making it ideal for smaller projects, trims and home decor. It also works wonderfully for adding an accent to clothing, whether it's patch pockets or a whole panel in a jacket or skirt.

Though the history of batik stretches across the globe, the Indonesian island of Java is home to some of the finest batik textiles in the world. We source all of our Indonesian batik directly from small workshops in Java, and take pride in only stocking high quality, handmade batik fabric in our shop.
