Textiles from around the world.
Hello, and welcome to Textile Traders. For the past 40 years we've been travelling to South East Asia to source beautiful fabrics, jewellery and batik tools from small producers and artisans.
We're proud to be a small family business, working with other small businesses in Indonesia and Thailand to ensure everything we sell is of the highest quality and sourced as ethically as possible.

Specialist batik supplies, sourced for you.
Though we offer a wide range of beautiful south east Asian textiles from Thailand and Indonesia, our first love is batik fabric. Over the years we have run UK batik workshops and batik tours in Asia whilst also working hard to source suppliers for high quality batik tools and equipment to bring batik to the UK.
In our online shop you will find batik kits, copper cantings, primissima fabric for batik, cold water batik dye, batik wax and more. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn batik or a seasoned batik artist, our shop has everything you need.
An eclectic UK fabric shop
Whether you're looking for unusual quilting fabric or adding to your dressmaking stash, you'll find everything you need in our online fabric shop.
We stock a variety of unique fabrics, including handwoven hemp, Indonesian ikat, indigo cotton and handmade batik, all hand sourced by us directly from weavers and small businesses in South East Asia.
