Artisan Handwoven Shawl with Natural Plant Dyes

This stunning handwoven plant dye shawl was created by the talented dyers and weavers of Studio Naenna, on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The design combines ebony and indigo natural dyes with traditional ikat weaving techniques, giving the shawl a rich, earthy palette striped with intricate ikat or mudmee patterns.

Made from a cotton-silk blend, the soft handloom fabric is warm, breathable and drapes beautifully, making it perfect for all seasons.

About the Fabric

This shawl is made from a 70% cotton, 30% silk blend. Cotton provides breathability and softness, while silk adds a subtle sheen. The combination makes it lightweight, comfortable, and ideal for scarves and shawls, while beautifully showcasing the natural plant dyes and ikat patterns.

Studio Naenna is a collective of female weavers, embroiderers and designers based in Chiang Mai. They have a strong focus on the environment, bringing craftspeople from various ethnic groups together to create high quality, eco-friendly and sustainable textiles, and paying them a fair-trade wage to do so.
