Upcoming textile shows, World Textile Days and markets.

Events, markets and talks have always been a big part of the Textile Traders offering. Now that Jim and Di are slowly trying to retire, their son Sean has taken on the travelling shop. You can find him regularly at events, shows and World Textile Days around the country.

10th May: World Textile Day East

10am - 4pm. Mundford Village Hall, IP26 5DW

A day of talks, exhibitions and fair trade textiles from around the world.

11am talk: Janice Gunner - One Simple Stitch

17th & 18th May: Threads Festival

10am - 4pm daily. Sunny Bank Mills, Leeds, LS28 5UJ

Join us for the wonderful Threads festival, a celebration of textiles, textile art and crafts from all over the world. We'll be in good company with a huge range of stallholders, and some fantastic workshops which you can book onto here.

Sunny Bank Mills is an historic former worsted textile mill, set in the heart of the community of Farsley, Leeds. Since 2010, it has been developed as a business and artistic community, with a Gallery selling fine art by local and international artists, a textile and local history archive, shops, cafes, artist studios and more. You might recognise the space as being the location for the Great British Sewing Bee!

24th May: Sashikofest

10am - 4pm. Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, Frodsham, Cheshire, WA6 7QN 

We will be taking a stand at this one day event for all lovers of indigo, sashiko, shibori and other Japanese textile techniques. We will have a wonderful selection of indigo dyed, fabrics, textiles and garments.
