We have a selection of some of the wonderful indigo rayon fibre scarves we bought last year from weavers in north eastern Thailand. The yarn is dyed with indigo grown in the village and hand woven by women on their own home looms. They have a delicious weight and feel to them. If you are interested in knowing more about these scarves, try my blog "A trip to an indigo blue heaven"
Our fine batik silk scarves are works of art in themselves - coming from the world renowned Brahma Tirta Sari studio in Java. Exquisite batik work from this studio is commissioned and collected in museums, galleries, and art collections all over the world. We have been visiting the studio for many years now and are delighted to sell their wonderful work.
Next are some of our wonderful Thai silk wide shawls in beautiful and attractive shades.
This year I also bought lots of lovely 100% Thai silk scarves with a subtle stripe in colour and texture. The silk is hand spun and has an uneven "slubby" textured feel to it which is very attractive. The colours are deep and gorgeous.
Last of all I have lots of naturally dyed hand woven cotton scarves from Chiang Mai in North Thailand. Lots of subtle colours.
Click on the photos at the side for more detailed photos for each scarf. Thanks!
