Here are a few tips:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMelt a small amount of batik wax mix in your wax pot\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCut 4 circles of cotton fabric to fit the bottom of your wax pot, and put them in the melted wax, allowing it to soak into the fabric to create a kind of wax stamp pad.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLayer some newspapers on your work surface, and lay the fabric to be printed on top.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePress the wood block onto the melted wax stamp pad, and then press onto your fabric (it's worth doing a few test runs first!).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRepeat the process, and then continue as you would with any other batik project.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli style=\"font-style: italic;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003ePlease note - once you've used your woodblock for batik, it's best to keep it strictly for wax.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003ePrinting with woodblocks\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can easily print on a variety of surfaces with our wood blocks, from paper and fabric to clay. The key is to use the right printing medium.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTo print on paper, we recommend using acrylic or gouache paints.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTo print on fabric, use fabric paints or acrylic paints mixed with a fabric medium.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTo print on clay, simply press the woodblock into the clay before it's dried or fired.
