A wonderful example of a Chinese stitched indigo resist dyed textile piece. This piece comes from Yunnan province of southwestern China
This is a piece of "shibori" which has been unpicked but one end is still fully unpicked to show the incredible process of making this fabric.
Size. Width - the unpicked cotton fabric is over a metre wide but is only 10 cms at the topwhere it is still stitched up. Length - 1 metre.
